WHAT IS COOL VACUUM DISTILLATION?
Great alcohol free drinks start life as great alcoholic drinks. The secret to our great taste is in our Cool Vacuum Distillation (CVD) equipment. We distil our base beers and ciders to remove the alcohol. Usually, this would be done at high temperatures at atmospheric pressures. In using high temperatures chemical reactions take place which destroy the delicate flavours and ruin the taste (remember alcohol free drinks of old?) Through treating our products gently and boiling away the alcohol under vacuum, we can reduce the temperature to a minimum, preserving all of the delicate flavours for you to enjoy.
WHAT MAKES OUR DRYNKS SO SPECIAL FROM EVERYONE ELSE?
At Drynks, alcohol free is all we do. We’re not looking to make our alcoholic products alcohol free, nor do we spend time looking at the alcoholic or soft drinks side of our business. All of our time is spent maintaining our existing alcohol free portfolio and developing the next great tasting products for you to enjoy.
ARE ALL YOUR DRYNKS VEGAN FRIENDLY AND GLUTEN FREE?
All of our cider based drinks are vegan friendly and gluten free. Our beer based drinks are made using malted barley and wheat and are therefore not gluten free but are vegan friendly.
WHERE DO YOUR CORE INGREDIENTS COME FROM?
Where possible we aim to source from the UK but we are purchasing ingredients from the wider EU and possibly further afield.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN NO AND LOW ALCOHOL DRINKS?
To be truly alcohol free, we have to produce our products to a specification of less than 0.05% ABV. Technologically this is not an easy task, that’s why you’ll see many 0.5% products on the market. Only products less than 0.05% ABV are alcohol free.
